Today I saw something that made me horrified, fell into a slight righteous shock and began to write this article. I really wanted to tell you about what I saw.

- What was it?

-Just a picture, - I say.

-Just a picture? - You ask. - And what was there?

- Yes, a creepy picture with an approximate model of a person after 20 years of office work, - I will answer.

You have always believed that office work is good and sought to get a job in an office to disappear there from morning till night, confidently believing that you had found a decent job, but your body felt differently, transforming itself into something completely unimaginable.

In an effort to mirror the evolution of the office worker's body change in the future, a team of experts led by futurist William Hayem created a 2050 office worker model named Emma.

The layout of the office employee of the future frightens with the brutal realism of its transformations, because all the changes indicated by the developers exist and most office employees who spend a substantial period of time in a sitting position have managed to experience this on themselves and their health.

As you can see in the photo, Emma does not look the best way, having embodied a whole bunch of occupational diseases.

Emma is overweight, has back, neck and posture problems. She has swollen legs and red, dim eyes.

Scientists believe that Emma will be a good example to illustrate how our body changes from excessive time spent in a sedentary, cardinally incorrect and unnatural position with a twisted spine and head bent to the monitor.

In the absence of regular physical activity, the body of an office worker acquires certain irreversible changes, therefore, studies urge employers to pay due attention to organizing sports activities, gymnastics to improve posture and vision, as well as creating sports breaks for their employees with a sedentary work schedule.

It is worth noting that the study and the creation of the layout was initiated by a company producing high-quality office furniture and therefore the study itself cannot be called completely independent, and its results are unbiased.

At the same time, the creation of Emma once again reminds of the need for regular physical activity and leading, if possible, a healthy lifestyle with a balance between work and leisure.
