It seems like I'm doing a lot of waiting around lately for different events to happen, or not.
- Blockchain Mass Retail Adoption - I find it most interesting that we are seeing massive adoption of blockchain technology by corporations and all manner of financial institutions. We are seeing various major cities around the world adopting the technology. We are even starting to see the governments of some countries adopting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. So for crying out loud, why are we still waiting for the average person to adopt blockchain and cryptocurrencies? I believe that it is all about the perception of need, right now the people that see the need for cryptocurrency in their life are using it, and those who live in places where they don't seem to have a need for it are not adopting it as a use case. So I am patiently waiting for the lightbulb to go on in the brains of a few billion people who will one day suddenly realize that they need to get some cryptocurrency as soon as possible. Or, perhaps development will reach the point before that day comes so that everyday people will start using cryptocurrencies without even realizing it.
- Aviatrix - Scorum seems to be in suspended animation while we wait for the launch of our newest application. How many hours have we sat wondering if this is going to be the killer app that sends SCR to the moon? How long after launch will we have to wait to see if we are going to get positive results? Will this game finally prove to the world that this project is seriously undervalued? I went and looked at other projects with up to 7X higher market cap higher than Scorum to see what they have that we don't. I stopped at 7X because I finally found a project that wasn't a scam. Of course I didn't check every project, I just picked out the projects with the closest market cap to 2X Scorum, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, and finally I found one that didn't seem to be an outright scam at 7X. How does a project with some vague defi application that has a 120 million+ total token supply but only 34 million tokens in circulation and no web site receive a 6X higher market cap than Scorum with 29 million coins and multiple applications? What do you think the market cap would be if the developers at that other project suddenly dumped the remaining 86 million tokens on the market? How long will we have to wait for Scorum to be fairly valued?
- Decoupling from the Financial Markets - How long will cryptocurrency continue to follow the other financial markets? I have been waiting and waiting for the decoupling to happen because I believe this event will be directly corelated with the launch of cryptocurrency prices to new all time highs. If the information that I have been hearing is true and the financial market traders have been treating cryptocurrencies like any other tech stock and that it is for this reason that Bitcoin roughly follows the NASDAQ chart, then this will not change until retail investors overpower the trading houses. At least, this is my thought, you may have another idea concerning this point. I'm just getting tired of waiting for it to happen, it makes me dislike traders lol, Why can't we have more pure investors and a lot less traders?
- War/Famine/Disaster - I don't know about you, but I'm not hearing very many people talking about all of the good times ahead right now. Granted I generally run in the conspiracy and prepper communities, but still, I have not seen the pessimism level this high since right before the 2008 financial crisis. There was a lot of doom and gloom back then, but there was not all of this talk about world war, famine, and pandemics at that time. Also, I hear the people on the left screaming that we are going to melt if we don't do something to cool the planet off, and I hear people on the right saying a lot of people are going to freeze and there is nothing you can do about it. Is war good for cryptocurrency? Can we eat Bitcoin? Is Bitcoin heating the planet to the point of destruction, or will it help keep us warm when the glaciers come charging back? I'm waiting to find out.
