Hypnotherapy and past life regression
In this video Steve Burgess is explaining hypnotherapy and claims it helped a lot of people. He published some books about it and cured some people by hypnotizing them and walk them through past lives! According to him traumas of past lives are reason for illnesses, fears and problems we have in present life. All problems have emotional cause. Past lives regression hypnotherapy cured, according to him, one young schoolboy with a lot of migraines. Once his mother brought schoolboy to him, he hypnotized him and walked him through his past lives to find out he died every time after fall on head or hit in head and once he went through those past lives with him he was healed! There is an amazing story about how his father left smoking which is for me to good to be truth. Passionate smoker as he was who smoked 3 boxes per day went to hypnotherapist and therapist put him into trance state and told him "You don't need cigarettes" and after waking up he never fired up another cigarette! I can almost see you saying "Ahhhh, Mehhhh, booo what a hunter story..." I must confess that sound to me like to good to be truth, but if there is 1% chance of success why smokers wouldn't try that ? As far as I understand our subconscious knows everything and has locked our experiences from the past lives and from time to time shows up something from those lives to us in dreams which are similar to trance and state of meditation and hypnoses. That's when we can have some access to our subconscious. This hypnotherapist allegedly did more than 7000 past life regressions and healed a lot of people. Almost every issue we have in this life are consequence of traumas in the past according to him. He's talking about that around 18th minute. Ensure you hear at least that part. My question for you is do you believe in this past life regression hypnotherapy and in general what he is talking about ? I can agree there is a lot of sense in thinking about purpose of lives are to become more educated, develop spiritual skills, virtues, make good deeds while also reducing if possible to zero faults like arrogance, selfishness, pride making bad deeds and similar to become better soul with final goal to be pure and in that way close to creator and main cause of everything - God. For that goal we have a lot of worlds on our disposal and after each life we've been examined and pointed out what we did good what bad and offered new chance to incarnation on some world to advance more or to suffer for bad deeds we did for our own good to become better souls. There are a lot of similarities in this what Mr. Steve Burgess is talking about and teaching of the most famous spiritist -Alan Kardec. You can find more about Alan Kardec on this link.
