“The way you sit reflects the way you eat” - I've taken the liberty of changing the slogan a little and freshening it up. After all, the choice of location can be decisive not only when sleeping, but also when eating. And although we were in a bit of a hurry as usual on our last visit to Berlin's city center, from time to time we found time to linger and relax. One of these times we found ourselves right next to the Berlin City Hall, which itself stands right next to the Berlin TV Tower. And it was precisely in this company that we spontaneously came up with the idea of treating ourselves to a kebab again.
It had been quite a while since our last kebab, we could even be talking about years. And that's why it was probably the right moment to treat ourselves to this fast food product that has become so typically for Berlin. For some time now, prices have been in the realm of what used to cost two or three, so we rarely get the chance to treat ourselves in this respect. That's probably why we made this spontaneous decision.
But since we were in the best neighborhood and from our place we had a relaxed view of the hustle and bustle that prevailed here in the city center, our kebab break was even more fun. The day was wonderful, with warm weather and super blue skies, and our trip had been quite successful so far. This tasty snack was just what we needed, especially as we could sit back and relax for a while. And always with a view of two Berlin landmarks that are as much a part of the city as the pigeons and their droppings.
But from our vantage point, we were able to block them out perfectly and concentrate on what was in front of us. To sum up, it was tasty and delicious and we were refreshed for the journey back home. In Berlin, you have to be prepared for anything and it's best to have good nerves. But even here everything went surprisingly well and we were later able to look back on a very successful day. The kebab in between also played a big part in this.....
