The times that we were running around in shorts on the beach are already a while gone. When I now think about it, I wonder how quickly we forget things, or at least how quickly we put them further back in our memory, where they are covered up and suppressed by ever new experiences. Some things will have to stay there for quite a while until they come back into our consciousness, but sometimes it doesn't take much at all to refresh our thoughts and memories. Photos are of course the most helpful for this, as they bring us back to the place of past days the fastest.

And that's exactly how I feel, running around the beach again in my thoughts today. Of course I wasn't there alone, besides my super team we were watched for quite a while by this curious seagull, which possibly hoped for a tasty prey from us. Since feeding seagulls is a no-go for us, unfortunately it was not rewarded for the time it held out there watching us. They feathered fellow almost seemed to feel at ease, as it allowed me to come closer and take a few pictures. Maybe that had been the main reason the gull was there posing so cheekily. It really wanted to make it into this blog post here.

As I think back on it, a little smile starts to form on my face. Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to achieve and I succeeded quite quickly. And thereby there are some more pictures coming back to my mind, and the beach scenery around me is coming alive again. And I myself am in the middle of all the action, trying to get closer to this seagull in front of me. I didn't quite manage to do that, but there is no reason to fret about that. We all played our part, and it has now been immortalized forever. In order to have something to smile about in the distant future as well...
