The beautiful weather that we were spoiled with until a few days ago suddenly seems so far away. All of a sudden it got really uncomfortable outside, and November is now showing its true face, as I remember it only too well from my home country. And since I know how quickly the weather can change and how quickly you might be able to enjoy it, it's been a long time coming.

And since I know how quickly the weather can change and how quickly you might not feel like leaving the house, we took the opportunity to take advantage of the mild temperatures a few more times to see the beauty of this late season for ourselves. It was still around 20 degrees outside on that day and even though the sun seemed to be hiding and dark clouds were gathering, I really wanted to get out into the fresh air again.

It was definitely worth it. I knew the park I had chosen from previous visits and had a good idea of what to expect. And we weren't disappointed, as we had timed our visit quite well and enjoyed ourselves until the rain finally started.

Once again, it was really beautiful and I was able to get my fill of autumn colors. Above all, it's the maple trees that stand out most with their colorful foliage and make the biggest impression. Here, for example, we have a maple tree that impresses with its deep red leaves...

...and here is one with fiery red and orange leaves. When it comes to maple trees, there is much more variety than I was aware of and I am always amazed at how many bright colors these trees can come up with.

But many other trees also contribute with their leaves to this great atmosphere that you can enjoy in so many parks here in Japan these days. These include, of course, the leaves of the cherry trees, of which there really are a lot in the whole country. In spring, these trees delight us with their enchanting blossoms and now, at the end of the year, they are making their last grand appearance. That leaves only one thing to say...

I love autumn!
