We all know by now how breathtakingly beautiful the magic of the cherry blossoms can be here in Japan. This fleeting period when countless cherry trees across the country form their delicate blossoms is short but intense and a great first highlight of every spring. In the meantime, I have clearly understood why the cherry blossoms are the center of attention these days and why so many Japanese go in search of the most beautiful sakura places. I've been doing this myself for a while now and am only too happy to be enchanted by the grace and splendor that you can enjoy outside in early spring.

I have noticed that the combination of cherry blossom and water suits Queen Sakura particularly well and makes the whole spectacle even more exciting than it already is. Whether it's small streams or larger rivers or even lakes, it looks even better with water.

That's why today's sakura pictures are from a small lake in our region, near which I usually pass quite often. On one side of this lake there is a whole row of stately cherry trees. Now every spring, they show off their magnificent canopy of blossom and shine out at you from a great distance. And when you get closer, you won't be disappointed - it's definitely worth taking a closer look.

This time I had discovered an access point from the other side of the lake, which is actually quite built-up. From there I had a great view across the water to the other side, where the cherry trees were in full bloom. Wonderful, I couldn't have wished for a more beautiful invitation to go there.
