Finally, the time has come in our area too. After seeing the cherry blossom in Tokyo a week ago, the mild weather of the last few days has now caused the cherry trees to start blossoming in our city too. Depending on the location, there may be more or less blossoms, but in some places it already looks really beautiful.
On my way back from work, I passed a small shrine where in recent years I have always done my own sakura check. The one large cherry tree that still stands there has also started to bloom, although the lower buds in particular are still mostly closed. Where there is less sun, it always takes a little longer and nature takes a little more time.
Over the next few days, many places will welcome us with a very special spectacle. The cherry blossom is quite intense and Queen Sakura is often quick to move on again. That's why you shouldn't take too much time, but seize the opportunity when it presents itself.
Hopefully we will also manage to pay our respects to the queen. As always, I have so many plans and yet so little time. Let's see what can be realized, but I'm pretty hopeful. And full of anticipation for the big event...
