Normal, moral clubs and organisations all around Europe are canceling deals with Russian state companies and people closed to KGB "Red Tsar" Vladimir Putin. One such club is German side Schalke. They immediately terminated sponsor deal with Gazrpom. UK government forced Chelsea to change owner. However there is a club which didn't do and doesn't plan to do such thing in the future! Quite contrary they announced they will double amount of money they are receiving from Russian state owned company Gazprom which is actively contributing Russian war efforts.
According to their president Zvezdan Terzic deal is on 2 years, Red Star Belgrade will get 10 million bloody money from Gazprom because they don't need to pay to Schalke now. They will play friendly game against Putin's club Zenit from St. Petersburg. How moral does this sound to you ? Does this surprise you ? Well it didn't surprise me at all. This is club whose leaders think they should always be first not because they are better on field, but because they have the biggest fan base, club which believe who owns person who delegate referees will win the title, club where title doesn't mean much unless it's stolen, club whose director can't go on trial facing transfer crimes because 'he's not feeling well'.
Their stadium has big Gazprom sign on East stand. Their fans already made controversial choreography showing graveyard in colors of Ukrainian flag. This is club whose basketball players refused to hold anti war banner "Stop war" in Lithuania because it was in colors of flag of Ukraine. Players of football club proudly wear Gazprom sign on shirts and will wear it in future.
Who do you think is contributing to Russian war efforts more state owned oil company Gazprom or people who do sports in Russia ? What's the purpose of sport sanctions against Russia if other clubs from other countries can promote Russian oil company which is directly under Putin ?
UEFA and Euroleague should do something about it. They should add letter Z, or signs of Russian state companies forbidden in European competition. Who wears it can't compete. It should be simple as that! They should threat swastika (symbol of Nazism), red star (symbol of communism) and letter Z (symbol of Putinism) the same!
So what's the connection with letter Z from title of text ? I know it's not time for jokes, especially for people living in Ukraine, I apologize but I can't help not to tell. With all this in mind letter Z which they use must be first letter of word ZVEZDA (meaning star on Serbian and Russian). It should be banned just like that club from football and basketball competition. Otherwise believe me you will see choreography with letter Z and they will say it's not Russian symbol but first letter of their club's name and then laugh to rest of Europe singing Russian songs...
