We would be beginning the series on the most amazing of notes. As was highlighted in the introductory article yesterday, Belgium is the most unique and traditionally open areas in Europe.

With that in mind, we would be discussing the first tourist location for this series. And that would be the Grand Place. Detailed highlights on this region would be given below.

According to natives of Belgium, the Grand place is also known as De Grote Market). It is the home to a vast area containing Grand Buildings as well as Belgian historic Architecture at its apex.

In the Grand Place complex, one of its compartments is dominated by a large town hall with designs like those in the middle ages. Its masterpiece is that of Gothic Architecture.

Other highlights on the Grand Place

Due to its representation of designs in the 17th century, the Grand place was given a naming award by a world organizational body known as UNESCO.

The award was given in other to tag the Grand Place as a World Heritage site. The naming was thanks to how designs at the Grand Place gave a proper representation of those in the 17th century.
